Quiet professional wears ‘quiet professional’ shirt to stress his quiet professionalism

By As for Class

Retired Army Staff Sgt. Collin Smith is a quiet professional. His t-shirt says so.

“I struggled to find an identity for years. My wife told me to get a hobby that wasn’t service-related, but fuck that,” Smith told Duffel Blog correspondents. “So I took a pretty big risk and started a veteran-focused t-shirt company.”

Collin struggled with this choice. At first, he wanted to start a veteran coffee company, but, he said, “you can’t wear vet coffee.”

The interview began with Collin sitting in his kitchen, wearing a kickass tank top with the words Quiet Professional emblazoned in a tribal font of unknown origin, flames surrounding it.

“This is who I am, now. Just like when I served. Please don’t thank me for my service or anything,” Collin said while sipping from his Quiet Professional mug.

Duffel Blog correspondents spent the day with Collin learning about his business model and the many jobs he held throughout his service to this great nation.

“I did a lot of stuff I’m not proud of,” Collin said as he put on matching Quiet Professional flip-flops, sunglasses, and a velcro patch hat. “But I really don’t want to talk about it. Let’s go for a ride. IHOP has a twenty percent veteran discount.”

Collin drove the team in his Quiet Professional Mobile, as he called it, talking about his social media brand, the protein line he was considering, and a really sweet deal he was brokering with a media company who wanted him to star in a Quiet Professional film.

“Some people want me to write a book about my life. But I don’t think I could ever bring myself to be out there like that.”

When asked why he didn’t instead join a veteran group to assist with their mission to increase and support veteran benefits, Collin was pretty clear, “Bro, why would I give two shits about other vets when I can make money off them, instead?”
